In a market saturated by different smartphones innovation becomes key. You can only become important when you are able to introduce new features. The camera war in the smart phone industry took a different turn last year when the newest upstart in the smartphone industry, Huawei introduced a smartphone with triple cameras.
This singular act made a lot of people stand up and notice the company, to put things into proper perspective, the P20 pro was adjudged by many reviewers including the respected DXOMARK. While the number of cameras doesn’t necessarily have to translate to superior camera, (The Google Pixel phones and their single cameras take better pictures than 95% of phones with multiple shooters). PERFORMANCE AND STORAGE
The device is powered by a snapdragon 660 processor. The snapdragon 660 is an octa-core processor based on 14nm FinFet technology with 4×2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260. The Snapdragon 660 combines raw performance with a very good battery life. The phone will come with a standard 6gb ram and 128gb storage space with some special market getting an 8gb version.
The rear camera set-up of the phone features a main shooter features a main camera with 24MP camera with an aperture of f/1.7 with PDAF, 8MP ultrawide lens with f/2.4 aperture, a 10MP telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom and an aperture of f/2.4 and a 5MP camera depth sensor featuring an aperture of f/2.2. The selfie camera features a 24MP shooter.
While the A9 (2018) misses out on a IP68 dust and water resistant rating, a feature that was available on its predecessor, it still packs the standard sensors such as a fingerprint sensor, a gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer among several others. The phone will be available in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, Bubble-gum Pink. The phone will retail in Nigeria at 287,000 Naira.
