Students and lecturers of the Osun State University were on May 23, injured by officers of the Nigerian Air Force, attached to Institute of Safety in Ipetu Ijesa, Osun State who invaded the University campus.
It was gathered that the officers, who came to the campus in armored personnel carriers and other vehicles, were also armed with guns, cutlasses, daggers and clubs.
Although the cause of their invasion is not yet known, some residents revealed that the Air Force men came to arrest some students, who they claimed were involved in internet fraud, also known as Yahoo.
