We apologise for the unlawful and unauthorised usage of a cultural festival image shot by Paul Odijie during the 2019 Igbere cultural festival as part of his person project.
It was an inexcusable lapse in judgment and moral behavior on our part. While it was an embarrassing experience, it is an experience we intend to learn and grow from.
We understand that usage of images without a permission from the copyright owner is wrong and using Paul Odijie’s work in an article on our website on October 7th, 2019 has taught us that the consequences are not worth the unlawful gain. The article has since been taken down and an invoice from Paul Odijie for the unauthorised usage paid.
Again, we are very sorry for our action and will henceforth do the right thing by first asking permission to use from copyright owners.
We believe in supporting the Nigerian Photography Industry and not destroying it.
Honorably done….
