International Media Personality, Wofai Samuel, a Graduate of Zoology and Environmental Biology, Class of 2010, University of Calabar, finally participated in the Orientation Course by the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, after stalling the process for more than 7 years.
While in Camp, Oando Gas organised a debate, on the topic : “Environmental Degradation, Especially Flooding in Nigeria , Can Cooking with Gas Help?”. She was selected among 10 other contestants, each representing their respective platoons. Wofai Samuel (Platoon 10), emerged Second (2nd) In the debate organised by Oando Gas.
In Her summation , ” I have avoided this phase of life for too long and will be doing myself and Nigeria a disservice if I don’t take part in this activity. No other time could be more appropriate than now”. Above all, I believe we should do the best we can to create a positive impact where ever we find ourselves. She dedicated her success at the debate and Nysc year to her beloved brother, Blessing Samuel, who until his demise was an Academic staff of the university of calabar.
He motivated her to take up nysc but died few days after her orientation camp she said.
