It was fun moment all the way at the presence of God as the NCCF – Nigeria Christian Corper’s Fellowship kicks off her first Sunday Service at the batch B stream 1 NYSC orientation camp in Yikpata, Kwara State.
The turn up of Corp members was surprising as the hall was filled to an overflow. Being the first day that Corp members were allowed to wear their best of clothes, there was brightness in the air as corp members wore different sort of designer wears. It was wonderful all the way.
The service started by 8:00am which was simultaneously done in 7 segments with different moderators. By looking at the theme of the day tagged Glorious in Holiness with a sub theme tagged Standing out for God. The bible passage was centered on Dan. 1:8 and Matt. 5:14-16. The moderators of the bible study groups were on point and the atmosphere was really interactive.
There was excitement when it was time for testimony. The first testifier was excited as her testimony was so touching. She explained how she had issue of duplicate registration number while in school. This delayed her service as two batches went by not until this year’s batch B stream 1.
The publicity unit was not left out as they projected a video montage. It was meditating and inspiring as it reflected our mind back to the genesis of our Salvation through the death of Christ.
There was an awesome drama ministration. The scene of the drama portrayed the use of power and authority in the house of God.
Nathaniel Bassey’s Song titled Book of life was played at the background and the demo was awesomely interpreted. The playlet summoned us to ask ourselves the simple question of life: “Is my name in the book of life?”
The sermon was ministered by Major Sam Adewunmi. He start by saying; No matter whom you are, If there is no Jesus, then you are nothing. The sermon was centered on the topic – “Without Holiness”. He talked on the following:
- Our God is a righteous God
- Our God is a perfect GodGod
- Our God is an excellent God.
He quoted the Holy Bible from the book of Matt 6:33
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteous; and all these things shall be added unto you.
He encouraged the Corp members to pray God to show them their gifts. He said that the position of satan in man’s life is in the mind and whosoever is in love with the world would not make heaven.
He also emphasized on corruption which he defined as “The act of giving of something to someone to abuse his office to influence some actions”.
However, he encouraged the Corp members not to compromise their faith. They should learn to stand out in any situation they find themselves.
On behalf of every member of Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship, we congratulate every corper out there. Wish them a wonderful service year.
