Group Africa, which houses Nichemtex House of Brands and Akosombo House of Brands has announced the relaunch of one its signature products “ABC”; the launch of Da Viva’s new “collection concept” at its solo show scheduled to hold at Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) 2017 and the addition of “Excellence Plus”, the brand extention of “Excellence – it’s leading Aso Ebi brand.
The brand also announced that its signature products Da Viva/ABC are official media partners of the upcoming AFWN 2017.
Making the announcement at the UNTL house on Tuesday, Group Marketing Manager, Group Africa Stephen Dutton disclosed that at its solo event scheduled to take place at AFWN 2017 on June 3, selected designers Zizi Cardow and Nipo Skin will be present as the new Da Viva design collection is unveiled, in addition to unveiling of latest iconic and creative ABC designs.
Dutton noted that some of these activities are planned out in line with its call on the government to get away from concentrating on oil production and seek diversifying industries such as the fashion industry as young as it might be, because it does have the potential to drive solutions to societal problems such as unemployment.
He stated that in redefining their group purpose, Group Africa seeks “to be the champion of fashion business in Africa and beyond, and improve the livelihood of people in our markets through the development of the fashion industry”.
On new developments in the brand, he announced the ABC Relaunch in Nigeria bearing new selvedge “Designed in England, Made in Ghana” classic designs, new designs and unique hand blocked wax with full marketing support for relaunch distribution through their retail network.
For the household Da Viva product, he said a new “collection concept” will be launched at AFWN- further new collections 3rd and 4th quarter, 2017, full marketing support and product innovation prototyping later this year and expansion of export markets to Ghana/other West Arican countries.
Dutton also spoke on updates for the Excellence products, explaining that: “Excellence – leading Aso Ebi brand continues to evolve. Addition of brand extention- Excellence Plus with new design influenced by traditional wax design styles to bring an African touch to the range with increased marketing support for Excellence as Aso Ebi brand and as a fashion brand in its own right and covering a wide range of user occasions. “
