Sosoliso plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi gets second chance on America’s Got Talent
Nigeria’s plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi has been picked to participate in the Champions’ finale edition of the America’s Got Talent TV show.
Simon Cowell, who is one of the judges on the show, pressed his golden buzzer, while Okwuchi was singing a song by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis’s song, You Are The Reason.
On her verified Twitter handle, Okwuchi shared her excitement at getting a second chance on the show. She described the experience as one of the top three moments in her life.
She tweeted,”I will never ever forget this moment and this feeling. Not ever.
“I’m incredibly grateful to God for giving me yet another performance to look forward to on the @AGT stage. Whatever happens, I’m humbled.”
Kechi Okwuchi, who was one of the two survivors of Sosoliso plane crash at Port Harcourt International Airport in 2005, and has had to undergo several surgeries afterwards came to fame on season 12 of “America’s Got Talent” in 2017.
The talented singer captured the hearts of viewers across the world with her incredible story, making it to the top 10 of that edition, where she finished sixth, performing her cover of Estelle‘s anthem ‘Conquero.’
