Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, will be the special guest of honour at the 12th edition of the Annual Banking and Finance conference, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
The President/Chairman of Council of CIBN, Dr. Uche Olowu, in his remarks at the briefing said the theme for the conference is “The Future of the Nigerian Banking Industry-360”, is designed to provide direction to Nigerian Banks, Financial Institutions, regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders on how to reposition the Industry for relevance in the new world order, by leveraging on digitalization, a phenomenon that has brought about a lot of unprecedented disruptive innovations in the Industry.
Speaking further Olowu informed the financial correspondents that the conference will attract an array of highly renowned industry futurists and subject matter experts, to discuss critical issues that will have far-reaching impact on the banking industry.

On the forthcoming conference Olowu said, there will be sessions that will discuss the Africa Continental Trade Agreement, AfCFTA, Cyber Security Issues, and the Future of Banking itself.
Giving further insight into the conference the Chairman of the 12th Conference Consultative Committee and the MD/CEO of First Bank Nigeria Dr. Adesola Adeduntan noted that the event will attract 1,000 professionals within and outside the country.
According to him Mr. Adjiedj Bakas a highly acclaimed trend-watcher, author and speaker with roots in India, Latin-America and Europe, will be the keynote speaker for the conference.
“Mr. Bakas is a visionary with a sharp eye to observe developments and relevant trends, across the world, which can be used for assessing new products and services”. Adeduntan said.
