Kano Set To host First National Tomato Stakeholders Summit

The Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG) and Grow Africa in collaboration with the Tomato Grower association of Nigeria (TOGAN) will orgay the 1st National Tomato Stakeholders Summit.

The summit themed “Strengthening Opportunities in Tomato Value Chain towards a National Self Sufficiency” will hold next week Thursday January 24th 2019, in Kano state.

Among the top dignitaries to grace the event are His Royal Highness, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Minister for Agriculture & Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, Minister of State Industry, Trade and Investment, Hajiah Aisha Abubakar, the Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Godwin Emifele and the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed.

The event will bring key stakeholders together to examine the many challenges facing the industry in the country.

The key stakeholders at the event includes; President Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), Alhaji Sani Dangote, Country Director TecnoServe Nigeria, Mr. Larry Umunna, Grow Africa’s Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Gourouza, President Tomato Growers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Ringim Abdullahi and Co-Founder WOFAN (Women Farmers Advancement Network), Hajiah Salamatu Garba.
