Miss Anambra, Ms. Unoaka Anyadike won the just concluded MBGN 2015 pageant. The event was held on the 24th of October at the Calabar International Conference Centre in Cross Rivers State. There was high rate of suspense and predictions via social media sites. The organizers understood this and allowed room for opinions to be aired via the hashtag #MBGN2015.
After what seemed like a tussle, the girls were narrowed down from 37 to 15 and further to 5. There were a lot of questions on who it could possibly be at that point.
Miss Anambra, Ms. Unoaka Anyadike beat the four other contestants to take the crown for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2015 pageant and will be representing the country in the Miss world contest.
Ms. Debbie Collins – Miss Ebonyi emerged as the first runner up and will be contesting for the Miss Universe crown.
The two ladies were impressive. Miss Anambra paid special attention to delivering a tailored answer to her question, which was on what she would do to foster the year’s focus which revolved around managing the negative effects of climate change.
A lot of opinions also showed that people found it refreshing to see a dark-skinned lady win after what most people thought was absolutely long overdue, due to the fact that it has not happened in a while.
In my opinion, the two ladies would do great jobs in their different capacities to represent the country on the international scene. They are both beautiful, eloquent and bold; qualities very essential for anyone hoping to do their jobs with grace.
They were six (other) award categories:
Most photogenic girl – Miss Gombe
Most Charismatic – Miss Ebonyi
Best costume – Miss Niger
Top Model – Miss Borno
Most friendly in camp: Miss Yobe
Best evening wear: Miss Katsina
We wish them the best in every future endeavor.
